Description

The lunar surface, a desolate yet fascinating landscape, is characterized by its myriad craters, mountains, and plains. Each crater tells a story of ancient impacts, where meteoroids collided with the moon, leaving behind deep, circular depressions. The vast, flat plains, known as lunar maria, are actually ancient lava beds formed from volcanic activity billions of years ago. The rugged mountains, some of which rise several kilometers high, create a dramatic contrast against the smooth plains. The surface is covered with a layer of fine, powdery dust known as regolith, which adds to the moon’s distinctive gray appearance. Under the harsh light of the sun, the terrain casts sharp, black shadows that emphasize its rough texture.
