The life-wraith rises from a coil of living chain, each link a twist of bark, vine, and moss shot through with emerald light. Its body is a tattered silhouette of branches and creeping ivy, shaped like a hooded figure with no visible face—only two piercing green eyes burning in the darkness beneath the cowl. The chains drape from its shoulders like a living cloak, sprouting tiny leaves, flowers, and glowing spores that drift into the air like fireflies.
